Following the quiet, subdued DSBM and shoegaze foundations of Formless, Thin Cities / Desert Festival expands Eusapia’s sound into a heavier, more sweeping reflection on exploitation, memory, and personal loss.

The dual-track release balances external political weight with intimate grief:

Thin Cities confronts the crushing weight of Western decadence and the suffocating burden forced onto developing agrarian nations across South America. Dissonant post-black tension carries the weight of economic extraction, forced labor, and agrarian revolt.

Desert Festival turns inward as a eulogy. Set against the backdrop of an opulent festival, it traces the last time spent with a friend before illness and death took over. It serves as a stark reminder that no amount of excess or surroundings can hold back loss.

Rooted in the lush, rugged atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest, the release balances oppressive post-metal weight with sprawling, melancholic space, mirroring both external decay and internal mourning.
